And that’s a wrap!

2024 season done and dusted on the Chooks home turf! Not really going to give you a game report but an overall report we started off with a hiss and a roar in the beginning of the season, lots of players filtering in and out, players needed in the premier team, injuries happened, mahi happened, new players arriving, with 3/4 of the team being new including a new coaching staff, learning each other strengths, weaknesses and gelling together as one, it took some time but we had one heck of a ride along the way finishing on a high, regardless of outcomes of games, Yeap 1 game to our name but we not fussed and finishing together is what mattered the most!

Forever proud of our team, they played 80 mins of rugby with the littlest bench to an over following bench, proud of them for fronting up, each weekend not knowing what the outcome would end up with smiling faces, cheekiness and good banters flying amongst each other, they pulled together when it counted the most, forever grateful to all our boys that taukotu the premiers as back up players throughout the season weather they got on or not it was the fact they did it so they too could front up each Saturday even after 80mins of commitment to their own team

Huge mihi going out to our coaching and management teams, for their tireless effort to the team week in and week out and their dedication to our team regardless of a small group at trainings to good numbers on game days they did it for the team and the club

Another big mihi to our supporters, whanau, the club and everybody that was on this ride with us all season we can’t thank you all enough for the support and encouragement
