The Club Taranaki Sevens was held at Yarrows Stadium a few weeks ago, with Spotswood United fielding a Premier, Social and Women’s teams. It was awesome for the club to have good numbers along to participate, and even better after the Premier side convincingly locked away their first piece of silverware for the season, going through unbeaten, to win the Delwar Shield against Southern 28 – 12.

We say farewell and a massive thanks to coach BRENT PERRETT (Perry) who stands down after six years with our Premier team. You will be very much missed Perry but we hope to still see you on the sidelines and in the club house afterwards next season.
Our pre-season development programme was a huge reason all our senior teams excelled in 2019.
So, to ensure we can do it all again in 2020, we have a new programme starting on November 28.
The programme, which has kindly been sponsored by The Glassman, will run on Thursday nights beginning at 6pm and will involve a range of fitness activities run by Premier Team Trainer, Josh Cooper.
The celebrations continued well into Sunday and are likely to continue for a few more days to come for Spotswood United after it won the CMK Taranaki premier club rugby title at Yarrow Stadium on Saturday. Semi-Finals Baby! Sooo … did you hear the rumour that the Spotty Dawgs have ALL FOUR TEAMS at home this weekend having each earnt a HOME SEMI-FINAL after an outstanding season so far!! There is still plenty of work to do this weekend, the business end of the season, to push through to next weekends Final Day at Yarrow Stadium.

Spotswood United club is a club that has shown massive progression in community participation and support in recent years and we are not happy about or condone the events that took place on that day.

It’s crunch time this season with all grades heading into the final few weeks of round robin matches needing a win to keep the season alive, make semi-finals or grab a home-semi spot. All grades are tighter than a hipsters jeans but that can certainly all change quickly in one week. This weekend is crucial, so get the support along for the boys.
Spotswood United wish to address any perceived absence of responsibility by Spotswood United following the extremely unsavoury incident at Sanders Park on June 1. Since this incident club executives have been working through the process, expressed our concern to our players and team management and have cooperated with the TRFU investigation.
Game Reports vs Clifton. It’s always good to have all teams at the Dog Pound and last weekend with the entire club taking on Clifton was a great day out for all Players, sponsors and supporters.
